About the white-rumped shama

These birds are native to South East Asia and live in the tropical forest understory and dense thickets.

As insectivores, their diet of insects includes beetles, ants, worms and other small invertebrates.

Conservation

White-rumped shamas have no major threats and are listed as least concern on the IUCN list. The population has declined through trapping and habitat loss.
