White-cheeked turacos can be found in the forests and woodland edges of the Afrotropics of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
These birds are primarily frugivorous, having a diet of fruit and berries as well as some leaves and flowers.
White-cheeked turacos have no major threats, and are listed as Least Concern on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.
