Cinnamon teal

Cinnamon teals are a relatively small duck with a sizeable head and long bill, recognisable by their soft, rusty brown coloured plumage and sky-blue patches on their open wings.

About the cinnamon teal

The cinnamon teal can be found across the Americas on marshes, shallow lakes and wet grasslands in breeding pairs or small flocks. They can grow to 36-43cm in body length and have an omnivorous diet of aquatic invertebrates, seeds and vegetation.

Conservation

Cinnamon teals have no threats, and are listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List
